How does the vinyl stuff work?
Well, let me begin by saying that while I did purchase the Roland GX24, and the materials, I do not love vinyl as a work. Thankfully, I have some great artist friends who do, who make it look so easy and fast.
They take an image, one that they make or graphic design, or trace, or that a customer provides, and they turn it into a file that the Roland Cutter will read. This may involve lots of finicky, nit picky, work. That I will always try to avoid.
The work is done on a machine called Editor and Chief. It is a WIndows 7 custom build in a Tenor case, that’s a sideways steel case, that was spray painted matte black. Anyhow, it has CS5 on it, with the whole Photoshop thing.
Now, a word about Photoshop. Blech.
